Face Scan

Using an optical technique called remote photoplethysmography (rPPG), Face Scan analyzes light that reflects off exposed skin on the face.

Using advanced AI and deep learning algorithms, including computer vision technology and signal processing, estimates of vital signs such as Heart Rate (HR), Blood Pressure (BP), Respiration Rate (RR), Oxygen Saturation (SpO2), Heart Rate Variability (HRV), and Stress Index. There are also other key biomarkers coming soon: HbA1c, hemoglobin, cholesterol.

Medical-grade measurements are possible using the smartphone camera in a little more than 50 seconds.

The data retrieved is managed in a fully compliant manner, in accordance with HIPAA , GDPR , and PIPEDA regulations. No personally identifiable information is collected or stored.

Face Scan may be used for vital signs self-reporting using the front selfie camera, or alternative options use the rear-facing camera. Web versions may be available to suit particular use cases, such as for embedding in a website or application.

This innovation holds significant benefits for both patients and healthcare providers.

Firstly, the non-invasive nature of the RE.Doctor Face Scan eliminates the need for physical contact, making it a hygienic and comfortable option for patients. Traditional methods often require cumbersome devices or repeated measurements, which can be inconvenient and stressful for individuals, especially in sensitive or high-stress situations. In contrast, facial scanning provides instantaneous results with minimal effort, enhancing the overall patient experience.

Secondly, the technology enables real-time monitoring, allowing for timely interventions and improved patient outcomes. This feature is particularly advantageous for patients with volatile conditions who require constant surveillance.

Thirdly, the Face Scan promotes accessibility and convenience. It can be integrated into smartphones or other portable devices, enabling healthcare providers to monitor patients remotely. This is especially beneficial for individuals in remote or underserved areas, where access to advanced medical equipment is limited.

The technology also reduces the need for frequent in-person visits, making healthcare more efficient and widely available.
